Brooms Head, NSW
A weekend in The Baltic
Brooms Head is definitely a hidden treasure and only a one hour road trip from Byron Bay. This beachfront town of 200 people is nestled in the heathland of Yuraygir National Park and there are Kangaroos for days! Camping areas are available in the national park by Lake Arragan and at the Sandon - The caravan park has 1.5km of absolute beach frontage which makes it easy to wander down and stroll along the ocean or go for a dip. However, we parked dow the road, at Red Cliff campground, South which is smack bang on the edge of the cliff and practically beach front. There’s potholes for days, too, so be carful if you aren’t in a 4WD (like us). We reversed The Baltic into a little spot and opened the back doors to the beautiful hinterland of Yuraygir National Park. If you do go - be sure to book in advance as this place is secretly well known. Enjoy! P.s Yotchi loves all of our Pony Rider bedding!
